The MutualOne Charitable Foundation has awarded $10,000 to support programs provided by the Framingham Clubhouse of the Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest. Announcement of the grant was made today by Steven M. Sousa, executive vice president and chief operating officer of MutualOne Bank and a Foundation trustee.
The Framingham Clubhouse has over 900 registered members. An average of 260 youngsters between the ages of 6 and 18 participate each day in out-of-school programs at the Pearl Street location.
According to Sousa, the award will help support the Club’s “Youth Development Strategy,” which fosters a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness, and positive and responsible behavior, as well as healthy attitudes and lifestyles.
“The success of the programs and activities offered by the Pearl Street Clubhouse is important to our whole community, now and in the future,” Sousa said. “We are proud to lend our support, and to help ensure continued success as the program grows.”
