Steven M. Sousa, executive vice president and chief operating officer of MutualOne Bank, announced today that the Bank has awarded $4,200 to benefit the Framingham History Center. The award was made at the conclusion of the Bank’s most recent Checking for Charity initiative, which promised a $10 donation to be shared equally by the Framingham History Center and the Natick Historical Society for every new personal or business checking account opened during the promotion.
“MutualOne Bank’s support of the Framingham History Center over the years has been so important to our continued efforts to preserve and share our town’s rich history” said Executive Director Annie Murphy. “This grant will underwrite our interactive tours for over 700 Framingham 3rd graders in May. We are so thankful to be able to continue this important tradition of introducing young students to their local history and the wider community.”
