Mark Haranas, Chief Executive Officer of MutualOne Bank, has announced the promotion of Michelle Rivers to Vice President and Human Resources Officer.

Rivers joined the Bank in 2016 and, before her promotion, served as the Payroll and Benefits Manager. In her new role, she will oversee all aspects of the human resources strategies and functions of the Bank. She will also develop and implement human resource policies to meet the organization’s needs while complying with state and federal laws and regulations.

A graduate of New England Institute of Business at Cambridge College, Rivers holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an Associate degree in Business Administration from Dean College, as well as a paralegal certification from Northeastern University and a PHR certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute. Outside of work, Rivers serves as a Vice Chair on the Town of Upton’s Personnel Board.
