Mark Haranas, chief executive officer of MutualOne Bank, announced Kristin Carvalho, president, chief operating officer, and treasurer of the Bank, has received her Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island (URI) College of Business.

According to URI, the University’s Doctorate of Business Administration program is “built on the principles of future-oriented thinking, experiential learning, and enduring connections.” At the end of the intensive three year program, Carvalho presented a doctoral dissertation focused on stress testing bank commercial real estate loan assets.

A graduate of UMass Dartmouth, Carvalho also holds a Master of Business Administration from Bryant University, and a Master of Science in banking and financial services from Suffolk University. She joined MutualOne Bank as President, Chief Operating Officer, and Treasurer in 2022 with more than three decades of financial industry experience.
