MutualOne Bank’s Charitable Foundation $10,000 grant helps Saint Bridget School update technology

Mark Haranas, MutualOne Bank CEO and MutualOne Charitable Foundation chairman, announced a $10,000 grant to Saint Bridget School to provide up-to-date technology in the classrooms.

“The computers currently used in the classrooms are slow and starting to fail,” said Haranas. “This grant will allow them to upgrade systems for twelve teachers, improving virtual and in-school learning, conference calls, and communications with parents.”

MutualOne Bank’s Charitable Foundation $5,000 grant supports The Learning Center for the Deaf

Mark Haranas, MutualOne Bank CEO and MutualOne Charitable Foundation chairman, announced today that the Foundation has awarded $5,000 to The Learning Center for the Deaf to support their annual fund-raising event – The Power of Possible.

“The Learning Center for the Deaf’s mission is to ensure that all deaf and hard of hearing people thrive,” said Haranas. “We are pleased to assist their efforts with this grant.”

The $5,000 grant to the Learning Center for the Deaf was among awards totaling $86,000 in the MutualOne Charitable Foundation’s most recent round of funding.

MutualOne Bank Hires Jen Murgia

Mark Haranas, chief executive officer of MutualOne Bank has announced the hiring of Jen Murgia of Attleboro, Massachusetts as accounting manager.

In her new role, Jen will assist the controller with the preparation and reporting of financial statements as well as oversee various accounting functions at the Bank. Before joining MutualOne Bank, Jen worked as a senior accountant and auditor at G.T. Reilly and Company. She earned both a bachelor’s degree and a Master of Science (MS) in accounting from Bridgewater State University.

“Jen’s background and experience are sure to contribute to MutualOne Bank’s growth and success,” said Haranas.

MutualOne Bank’s Charitable Foundation $15,000 grant supports creation of Technology Learning Center at Framingham Public Library

Mark Haranas, MutualOne Bank CEO and MutualOne Charitable Foundation chairman, announced a $15,000 grant to the Framingham Public Library Foundation (FPLF) to assist in the creation of a Technology Learning Center at the Main Library.

“This initiative will create a classroom for staff to help patrons of all ages master the latest in technology so they can conduct research, search for jobs, create graphics, and discover other uses for the digital tools,” said Haranas. “Such a facility has never been available in the library, and we are pleased to support its creation.”

MutualOne Bank’s Charitable Foundation $5,000 grant supports the blind and visually impaired

Mark Haranas, MutualOne Bank CEO and MutualOne Charitable Foundation chairman, announced that the Foundation has awarded $5,000 to the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MABVI), a division of MAB Community Services, to support their assistive technology training center located at the Natick Community-Senior Center.

“This grant will help address the digital divide for older adults with disabilities,” said Haranas. “Learning to use technological tools will help seniors live more productive, healthier, and safer lives.”

Kelli is a hard-working and sociable team player who has grown her customer engagement skills. With an eagerness to learn, she has done a great job stepping in to assist her team no matter the task and has built trusting relationships with longtime customers.   

Astrid’s keen eye for detail and ability to take on challenges does not go unnoticed. Recently she discovered an issue during the Teller Capture Settlement and took on an out-of-the-ordinary procedure to resolve the situation. She owned the process from start to finish and came out with a successful outcome.
