You do not have to apply for this service when you first open your account, and you do not need to sign any additional documents. There is no fee to add Overdraft Privilege to an account and no fee if you never use it. If we authorize a transaction that causes your account to fall into a negative balance you will incur our normal overdraft fee of up to $29.
If you would like to have Overdraft Privilege reinstated, please contact Client Services at 508-820-4000 or stop by one of our branches.
If you would like to extend Overdraft Privilege to your debit card, you must opt in to that service by completing our Opt-In form and mailing it back to us or dropping it off at any of our branch locations. Please note that, if you opt in, your debit card will work as it currently does. If we authorize a reasonable debit card transaction (including ATM transactions) that causes your account to fall into a negative balance you will incur our normal overdraft fee of up to $29.
MutualOne Bank offers the option of a Draw Account, as an alternative to Overdraft Privilege. You may link another MutualOne Bank account (Checking or Statement Savings) to your checking account, from which we will automatically draw funds to cover a check, withdrawal or automatic payment avoiding a negative balance. An Overdraft Protection Transfer fee will be charged at the end of the day of the overdraft transfer and it covers all transfers occurred in single day. Some restrictions do apply to the number of transfers allowed in a statement period. Click here to download our Automatic Transfer Authorization Form.
